New Year's Eve

We have our posts out of chronological order due to the laid-back life style here.  "Oh, I'll do that manana" becomes an easy phrase, so I thought I had better post something about our New Year's Eve experience.

Our friend Britta, our full-service masseuse, told us about a party at a place called Pancho's and asked if we would like to go with her and her friend from Germany.  We looked at the place and the menu and agreed.  We started the party about 8:30 p.m. with a mojeto, a margarita, a martini and cerveza.  We chose our food and enjoyed the music and atmosphere.  The restaurant played American music most of the time, which disappointed us some, but we heard a few Mexican songs.  People around us were really enjoying themselves, the crowd was mixed between locals and travelers, and we enjoyed the conversation and people watching.  We had delicious food and sang in the new year.  We actually stayed awake until about 1:15 am. We even danced a little!  Pretty good for gringos viejo.

Happy New Year to all.  Prospero ano!
